Michael's father was Robert Charles Heitz and his mother was Eva Mabelle Hawkins (Heitz).  His paternal grandparents were Charles P Heitz and Elizabeth Teresa Stigler (Heitz). He had three brothers and two sisters, named <Unknown>, <Unknown>, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and Sandra.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 54 on April 26th, 2006.  He was cremated.

    STREATOR - Michael H. Heitz, 54, of Streator, died Wednesday evening, April 26, at Mendota Community Hospital.
    Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Cremation will take place.
    
    Mr. Heitz was born March 19, 1952, in Evergreen Park, to Robert Charles and Eva M. (Hawkins) Heitz. He was employed at Farm Supply in Serena and attended Oak Lawn High School.
    
    He is survived by a daughter, Julie Heitz of Chicago Ridge; three brothers, Robert J. of Spokane, Wash., Charles E. (Dolores) of Chicago and Richard F. (Jan) of Streator; a sister, Karen E. (Vern) Schuler of Lombard; and his fiance, Debra Adams of Streator.
    
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sandra McCauley.
    
    Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
