Hattie Mahalia Kimbler (Jenkins, Sexton)

Hattie was born on April 21st, 1917.

Hattie's father was George Scott Kimbler and her mother was Maude Edna Morgan (Kimbler, Ross). Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Greene Kimbler and Martha Melvina Collins (Kimbler, Back); her maternal grandparents were Benton Morgan and Mary Ann Haslett (Morgan). She had six brothers and four sisters, named Nathaniel, George, Charles, Pearlie, Willie, John, Mary, Mamie, Alice and Dorothy. She was the youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named George, <Unknown>, Ruth, <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She died at the age of 89 on February 18th, 2007.

  Hattie Kimbler Sexton, 89, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky.
  
  She was born April 21, 1917, in Ashland, the daughter of the late George S. and Maude Morgan Kimbler.
  
  Mrs. Sexton was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
  
  She is survived by three half sisters, Laura Belle Adams of Flatwoods, Ky., Oretha Justice of Mount Sterling, Ky., and Ester Justice Burroughs of Ashland; and a niece, Evelyn M. Sarven of Ashland.
  
  Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Edward Sarven. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
  
  Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland.
