Ruth was born on March 28th, 1929. Ruth's father was George Scott Kimbler and her mother was Mary Edith Simpkins (Kimbler).  Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Greene Kimbler and Martha Melvina Collins (Kimbler, Back); her maternal grandparents were W Simpkins and Laura Mullett (Simpkins). She had a brother and three sisters, named George, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Nathaniel, George, Charles, Pearlie, Willie, John, Mary, Mamie, Alice, Dorothy and Hattie.  She died at the age of 2 on May 9th, 1931.
