Silas was born in 1832.  Silas' father was Ebenezar Kimbler and his mother was Nancy (Kimbler).  His paternal grandparents were Sewell (Suit) Kimbler and Annie (Kimbler). He had two brothers named William and Solomon.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 65 on July 26th, 1897.
