Thomas' father was John Wesley Kimbler and his mother was Thursay Remy (Kimbler).  His paternal grandparents were Anderson Kimbler and Katharine Lane (Kimbler); his maternal grandparents were Thomas Ramy and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and four sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Hiram, William, Edward, Harry, Marion, Bob, Missouri, Alabama, Sarah, Lucelle, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He died in 1953.
