James Monroe Stephens

James was born on January 9th, 1898. James' father was James Owens Stephens and her mother was Melissa Isabell Anna Acker (Stephens). Her paternal grandparents were Needham Stephens and Peggy Jones (Stephens); her maternal grandparents were Jasper N Acker and Anna E Bailey (Acker). She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Joseph, Iona, Albert, Derothy, Ida, Walter and Althea. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
