Mary was born on February 22nd, 1924 delivered by M. V. Newman.  Mary's father was Joseph Ellis Stephens and her mother was Susie Sophie Ramsey (Stephens).  Her paternal grandparents were James Owens Stephens and Melissa Isabell Anna Acker (Stephens); her maternal grandparents were John H Ramsey and Mary E Sanders (Ramsey). She had a brother and a sister, named Herbert and Idella.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 83 on March 25th, 2007.  The funeral took place on March 28th, 2007 and was arranged by Camino Del Sol Crematory.  She was buried on June 22nd, 2011.1
